Appearance – More of a damp straw in colour, beads up in the glass and takes ages to drop thick legs.
Nose – More medicinal, Tropical fruits, Pineapple, Mango, Red berries too, has a sweetness running through it, BBQ meat, more Ashy than peaty, bolder too, could be the ABV.
Palate – Much bolder straight away, more flavour all round, BBQ sauce, Strawberry, Cherry, Sweet liquorice, Black pepper, Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, loverly and warming.
Finish – Medium to long in length, so warming, Spicy, lingering, much more ash, and tropical fruit.
My thoughts – A very flavourful, and warming Whisky, nicely balanced, and well married, delightful.
Would I buy a bottle? – Yes, it’s simply delicious.
