Appearance
Very light gold in colour, white wine like, the thick swirl line beads up immediately and drops swift medium thick legs. #thewhiskeychaps
Nose
Sweeter than the previous two initially, much sweeter. Sweet lemon jellies, greengages, lychees, it’s quite a bright nose, @whiskeychap says sherbet, definitely, and now a foresty feel is coming through. #thewhiskeychaps
Dry cut grass, some floral perfume like one of the others, juniper, and heather, cereals, then some dunnage, it really thickens up on the glass too over time. #thewhiskeychaps

Palate
Decent mouthfeel, and this has to be an ex bourbon cask, possibly 1st fill, loads of ex bourbon spices for me. Bitter lemon, vanilla pods, white pepper, cinnamon, grapefruit pith, pomelo’s, cereals again, lemon and apricot pasties. #thewhiskeychaps
Becoming fruitier with red berries, cherryade, leading towards liquorice now, Eccles cakes and chocolate coated raisins. #thewhiskeychaps
Finish
Long side of medium, and it’s citrus zesty alright, which I like, the spices do linger longer, definitely not as rounded as the sherry cask Dram Mòr, but I like it. #thewhiskeychaps
My thoughts
This is another rather good Ben Nevis, again showing just how robust the spirit is. It isn’t one i’d purchase, only for the fact that i tasted slightly better independently bottled Ben Nevis’s on this tasting, but again in my humble opinion it is still pretty good.
