Aged in new oak barrels and batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time. BT is aged on the middle floors of the distillery warehouses where the temperature fluctuation is the greatest.
Appearance: Back to the lighter, more auburn colour on this one. Big thick legs and good viscosity #thewhiskeychaps
Nose: BT nose: Good amount of alcohol, honey, oak and some maltiness. The thin layering of marmalade on toast this time. Not a huge amount of spice yet. There’s some sweetness on the nose too, sweetshop sugars.
Palate: This is staying light and sweet for me, very easy sipper, dangerously so on a summers evening like this! Dark fruits, cherry and menthol are on the palate now. Wood notes too.
Finish: Finish: Slightly spicy, cherry soothers, orange and grapefruit.
Overall: For the money, exceptional. Sweet and friendly, could sip this all evening and not get bored at all.
