Appearance
Very light gold in colour, medium thick swirl line breaks up into slow thick legs and teardrops that hang there. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Nose
Ooooh, herbaceous, balsa wood, a little perfumed, Turkish delight, tropical fruits, sweet lemon too eventually. More floral with time. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Nose: The nose carries the ABV well, no real ABV ‘hit’ (not a negative) but there is a presence for sure. Barley, stewed fruits, pastry and apple skin #thewhiskeychaps

Palate
That 1st fill bourbon spice 🥰, lots of bitter and sweet lemon, some drying, blood oranges and pomegranate, milky coffee, malted biscuits, cinnamon and chilli’s. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Finish
New make spirit notes are coming through here, that red berry jamminess in all it’s glory, then much like the palate with char, some tannins, mocha, grapefruit comes through too. #TheWhiskeyChaps

My thoughts
I really do enjoy Bourbon cask whiskies, especially 1st fill bourbon cask, i just love those citrus spices. This bottling however offers something more, aromas and flavours that i wouldn’t typically expect from an Ex -Bourbon cask. For me this is an added bonus, and one i’ll very happily smell and drink again some time, i very much like it.
