Dunville’s Palo Cortado Sherry cask finish, 48% ABV.

Appearance – Amber in colour, beads up on the glass, slow running thin legs.

Nose – Fizzy on the nose, quite sweet, a freshness that come to me like menthol, icing sugar sweetness, red fruits, strawberry cheesecake, ripe plums, vanilla, and morello cherries from a jar.

Palate – Easy drinking, with white pepper spices, redcurrant/ blackcurrant strudel, stollen, Black Forest gateau, sultanas, very ripe plums, vanilla custard, morello cherries, again quite sweet.

Finish – Medium to long, pepper spicy, icing sugar sweetness, warming, and fruity all the way.

My thoughts – This is a rich, rounded and bold whiskey, I’ve really enjoyed it.

Would i buy a bottle? – Yes, but I doesn’t come cheaply.
