Glasgow 1770 Original, 46% abv.

Appearance – Damp straw in colour, slowly drops thick legs.

Nose – Vanilla, lots of Honey, Pineapple, Apricot, White Pepper, Fruit cocktail syrup, quite Oaky.

Palate – So fruity, Liquorice, Candied Lemon rind, Boiled sweets, Honey, Slightly smokey, Icing sugar sweetness and drying, more Oak, Pineapple, Cranberry.

Finish – Lots of Oak, Icing sugar sweetness, Peppery and spicy, Medium to long in length.

My thoughts – I really enjoyed this whisky, a loverly drop from a new distillery.

Would I buy a bottle – Yes, there’s lots going on, and it’s all good.
