Appearance – Damp straw in colour, clings well to the glass, and drops slow running thick legs.
Nose – Cream soda, Cranberry, Raspberry, Cinnamon, Vanilla, BBQ sauce, Black pepper, Orange, Oak.
Palate – Lots of Oak, Cherry lozenges, Slight smoke, Fig, Clove, Cinnamon, Black pepper, Prunes, Leather, some type of herb, Slightly floral.
Finish – Quite long, a drying sweetness, Oak, Cherry, Tobacco leaf, it certainly does hang around.
My thoughts – Another super Glasgow 1770 offering from the Glasgow Distillery, and a little darker and oaky this time.
Would I buy a bottle? – I certainly would, another super bottling.
