Batch 6, which is limited to just 6,500 cases worldwide, is a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, Rioja barriques and virgin oak casks, all personally selected and blended by whisky industry veteran, Billy Walker.
Presented at 57.8% ABV, without added colouring or chill filtration, the bold Cask Strength spirit is overflowing with dark chocolate fondant, tangy orange, heather honey and warm frangipane tart.

Appearance
Yet again a lovely deep gold natural colour, heading towards chestnut. The swirl line is medium thick and it beads up instantly, dropping thin legs and teardrops. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Fantastic dark mahogany colour and thick legs on the glass. #TheWhiskeyChaps

Nose
Wow that’s a nose and a half, made my eyes water tbh. Yes big ABV, and rich, foresty again for me, evergreen boughs, blackcurrant jam, a lovely sweetness all through it tbh. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Cherryade, more wood varnish, more dunnage, and earthy too.
This has opened up nicely since the neck pour, it was very in your face alcohol but now that's taken a step back and dark fruit now on the nose for me. #TheWhiskeyChaps

Palate
Sooo syrupy, really viscous, and again a super sweet/spicy combo. Cranberries, pomegranate, figs, fruit cocktail syrup, Black Forest gateaux, it’s so rich, one of the richest whiskies I’ve had the pleasure to taste tbh. #TheWhiskeyChaps
Finish
Nice and long, continued dark fruits, heading into dark chocolate, maybe slight Jaffa cakes. It’s really syrupy now, and fragrant wood finally coming through with dunnage, damp leaf litter. #TheWhiskeyChaps
My thoughts
It’s a BANGER! in my opinion, everything about it makes me smile, for only 10yrs old it’s impressive. From the start the mouthfeel is so syrupy, the nose is exquisite, and the palate so deep and robust, everything about it is perfect for the casks the spirit has been in. If anyone reading this review is yet to try it i’d advise at least trying a sample, you might find a new favourite dram.
