Appearance – Pale Gold
Nose – Raspberry, Pear, Cherry, Icing Sugar sweetness, Pineapple, Vanilla, Very fruity.
Palate – Sherry notes here, Raisins, fig, Ginger, Pineapple, Vanilla, Honey, not as sweet as the nose.
Finish – Medium to long, Stewed dark fruits, and light Oak.
My thoughts – This is a very welcoming Pot Still Whiskey, gentler than many in the class, and a warming drop.
Would I buy a bottle? – Yes, it’s the entry level bottle of the Spot range, and it’s a lovely sipper, it certainly has its place.
