Appearance – Medium Gold in colour, drops slow running thin legs.
Nose – Fig, Raisin, Black Pepper, Clove, Icing Sugar, Sweet Lemon, Cut grass, Cherry, Light smoke.
Palate – Fire ash, Pineapple, Stewed dark fruits, Black Pepper, oak tannins, Liquorice, Orange? With water it becomes more floral, stronger cut grass, with Cocoa bitterness coming along.
Finish – Short to medium length, more Oak, cherry syrup.
My thoughts – It’s a nice enough drop, and has the Highland park feel to it.
Would I buy a bottle? – Probably, it’s nice enough, and competent, but a little pricey for me.
