Appearance – Amber in the glass, fine beading, and thin legs.

Nose – Heavy with red fruits, Raspberry, cherries, Black grape, Black pepper, and has notes of Red wine when nosed from a little further away, Slightly musty, Tobacco leaf, and damp autumn/ winter leaves.

Palate – Very earthy, loverly and warming, Stewed dark fruits, Apple strudel, Black pepper, Burnt sugar, Caramel, Tobacco leaf, Really Dark chocolate, the high Cocoa stuff, and Blood oranges.

Finish – Medium to long, Spicy, Chilli peppers, Lots of wood, Tobacco leaves, and some tropical fruits late on.

My thoughts – A seriously good Whisky imho, so much flavour, great mouthfeel, all round winner.

Would I buy a bottle? – It’s a little pricey for me, but if I could stretch to the price, yes I would, I’d love every drop.
