SINGLE CASK #1510295, AMERICAN OAK/EX BOURBON BARRELS, DISTILLED 22/07/15 – BOTTLED 2019, 253 BOTTLES.
Appearance – This is damp straw in colour, very viscous and has syrupy thick legs.
Nose – That’s some ABV, musty, menthol freshness, slight bbq meat note, strawberries, corn flakes. Definitely chewy fruit sweets, that ABV is making my eyes water. I’m getting lemon and pineapple after a while too.
Palate – Lots of tropical fruits, nice and tangy/citrusy, icing sugar, then cinnamon, raisins, ginger, oak, dustiness, quite a development for me tbh.
I’m the other way around, easier to drink than I expected.#BlindDrams

Finish – The finish is medium in length for me, it’s Peppery, with chilli’s, dark chocolate cocoa, oak, some tannins, oiliness, and oranges, very nice.
I’m liking golden syrup Brian #BlindDrams

My thoughts – I really enjoyed this during the blind tasting, turns out it was a lowland whisky, and i do like Lowland drams.
Would i buy a bottle? – Yes I would, but I’d look for it at a slightly lower price, after all it’s only 4 years old.
Notes – This whisky is presented as its natural colour, it’s non chill filtered, and bottled at cask strength.
