Barley – Laureate. Yeast – Anchor llalemend.
Nose – Obviously a higher ABV here, Plum, Damson, Blackcurrent, Lightly medicinal, and very elegant.
Palate – Different to the nose, very fruity, all darker fruits, Fig, Clove, Raisins, and leaning toward Ex Sherry cask notes, White pepper.
Finish – Long, more stoned fruits, Apricot, peach, Pineapple, and ever so slightly medicinal, that only shows up on the palate now, yummy.
My thoughts – It’s no wonder it won the best New make from Scotland award, so flavourful, we’ll rounded, juicy, makes me salivate and want more.
Thanks to – Gary, @Haggag01 (Tw), Distillery manager, and @LindoresMurray (Tw), brand ambassador from Lindores Abbey for joining us on this tasting, much appreciated.
