Omar Single Malt, Sherry cask, 46% ABV.

Appearance – Mid Gold in colour, drops thin legs.

Nose – Jammy dodgers, Pineapple cubes, Apricot jam, Very light, Icing sugar, Slightly floral, Sweet syrup for pancakes.

Palate – Sweeter than expected, Red currant jam, Sultanas, Cloves, Figs, Caramel, Demerara sugar, Molasses, and a persistent sweetness.

My thoughts – I really enjoyed this whisky, lots going on, in a blind tasting of 20+ tasters it wasn’t a favourite to most.

Would I buy a bottle? – I love the flavour, but it’s a little overpriced imho, another one I’d buy if discounted.

Thanks to – The Blind Tasting Consortium (Twitter).
