Appearance – Amber in colour, sticks well to the glass, drops slow running thick legs.
Nose – Pastry, Yorkshire puddings, Figs, Cherry lozenges, Burnt Orange, Slight dunnage, Buttered scones, Pineapple, so much pastry.
Palate – Parma violets, Very floral, Perfumed, Biscuity, Lots of pastry, Fizzy drink sweetness.
Finish – Long side of medium in length, Warming, Syrupy, Slightly nutty, Cocoa bitterness.
My thoughts – I really enjoyed this Whisky, it’s different, has lots of flavour, but in a blind tasting of 20+ tasters, only 2 of us enjoyed it, not one for the faint hearted.
Would I buy a bottle? – For the flavour, yes, for the price, no, I’d need to find it discounted.
