Appearance – Deep gold in colour, beads up and is quite viscous on the glass.
Nose – Yes very spicy and full on nose, prickly/fizzy, with lots of orange, lots of oak, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper.
Palate – Ah that’s better, the nose is so strong but the palate is a more subdued. Orange, and sweet ginger start this off, toffee, golden syrup, brown sugar, honey bring along some sweetness, and cinnamon, with white pepper at the very end. That’s a loverly palate tbh,
Finish – It’s Long, pepper spicy, with loverly oak, but little to no tannins, grapefruit, ginger, orange, very nice, I like this very much.
My thoughts – Another super blended whisky from Compass Box, rich, rounded and flavoursome.
Would I buy a bottle? – Yes, another super blended whisky, which most would think is a Single malt imho, it’s so well put together.
