Taking a sip of whiskey from the perfect glass can make the experience even more memorable. There are many types of glasses designed to bring out the unique characteristics and aromas of different whiskeys. The Copita, Glencairn, tumbler, and stemmed glass are just a few of the great options when looking for something special – each has been crafted to give a distinct taste and aroma while truly complementing your favourite whiskey.

The Copita, with its wide bowl shape, releases a lot of the whiskey’s aromas quickly; within Glencairn, the Tulip-style tumblers open up the flavours by capturing them in its tapered mouth; and the stemmed glass enhances swirling temperatures before it is poured out for tasting. No matter which option you choose, any whiskey lover is sure to appreciate something unique like a set of glasses specifically designed for their divine drinking pleasure.

The Denver & Liely Whisky Glass

The Denver & Liely Whisky Glass

Traditionally the tumbler has been seen as the vessel of choice for the majority of whisky drinkers and the ‘Whisky Snifter’ relegated to the small group of true whisky tasters. D&L have now combined these worlds.

The hand-blown shape of the D&L Whisky Glass combines the benefits of taste and smell associated with a traditional whisky snifter with the versatility and style of a classic tumbler.

The wide base maximises the surface area of a standard measure, funnelling the aromas through the tapered body to the optimally sized opening. This reveals the whisky’s full character.” – The Denver & Liely Whisky Glass

The Norlan Glass

“Inspired by nature, digitally crafted, and meticulously refined with master distiller Jim McEwan, the Norlan Whisky Glass has been designed to capture whisky’s complex flavours and aromatics and deliver them to the senses like never before. ” – The Norlan Glass

JoyJolt Halo Crystal Whiskey Glasses

Copita Nosing Glass

“This relatively small tulip bowled glass is used by the distilleries to nose the newly made spirit and by their Master Blenders when nosing whiskies to be used in upcoming blends.

It has been historically known as a ‘Dock Glass’ as they were always used at the docks in the 17th and 18th centuries when newly arrived shipments had to be nosed prior to the shipment being accepted and signed for.

The tulip shape of the bowl allows the liquid to be swirled sufficiently prior to nosing and the small opening retains the alcohol vapours and concentrates the nose.

Once the sherry or whisky has been poured it is always a great idea to seal the glass with a cover such as a tasting cap, then swirl and leave for a few minutes to let it stand and allow the aromas to intertwine with the oxygen and develop sufficiently. The perfect nose!” – Wineware

the cradle glass

The Cradle Glass

“What makes the Cradle Glass whisky experience so unique?

The Cradle Glass reduces the alcohol fumes and the burn to your nose.

The Cradle Glass RADIATES, MOVES, AERATES, ACCELERATES, EXPELS, and EMOTES by directing only the organic aroma to the nose by way of its shape, curves, length and size.

When the alcohol fumes are expelled this allows all the subtle back notes to appear and allows the drinker to identify and appreciate the full aroma of the whisky.” – The Cradle Glass
